Just bcause card

Hi All,
I finally used some of my chipboard! I don't really know why, but I never think to use it. So I'm pleased that I finally did! lol I was just fiddlin with this and here's what I came up with. No stamping on this one and I even used a staple which is wayyyy different for me, as you all know. I was able to use up some of my scraps, and that's always a good thing to do. All items are Stampin Up products unless otherwise stated below.

Card Recipe:

Card Stock: Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, More Mustard, Riding Hood Red,
Inks: Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, White Craft
Chip Board: letter "b"
Black Marker
White Gel Pen
Scallop Edge Punch
Stapler from Dollar Store
1 White Brad
Natural Hemp Twine
Paper Piercer
1 small flower punch I picked up at Michaels years ago
1/8" hole punch
Dimensionals
1" Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon
Word Window Punch
Scor-Pal for scoring
Misc tiny flower stamp from Michaels

And that's it! Put all these scraps together and here's what it turns in to!
I hope you enjoy this one and it will inspire you to use up some of your scraps hanging around on your stampin' table. lol
Have a great rest of the day and thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Owl Together Now

Hi Stampers,
Thanks for coming to my blog! Today I have an owly project. I think this set is so cute, but I don't own it. waaaaaaa!

All products are Stampin Up and here's the recipe:

Stamp Set: Owl Together Now

Paper: 2007 Old Olive DSP (I used the DSP for the outside of the card)
Card Stock: Very Vanilla(inside right side), and Chocolate Chip
Inks: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie
Markers: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Black
Circle Punches: 1 3/8" and 1 1/4"
Ribbon: 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon
Hemp Twine
Scallop Punch
Dimensionals
Crystal Effects (to make google eyes)

And that's it for this card. Abbi is doing super well and the older gals, Patches
(18), and Spooky (15) have decided they like her. So that makes things alot easier.
Abs is full of vim & vigor, I'll tell ya!!! She makes me exhausted just watching her!! Tires me right out! lol

You all have a wonderful weekend and thanks again for dropping in.

Happy Stampin,

What can I say?

It was Ret to the rescue, once again! Scotty & I really hadn't intended to get another dog. But, I heard that Abbi was up for adoption, and we just went to look. Wellllllll, meet the newest member of our family...Abbi. Yupppppppp, I could NOT resist that little pug nose and those big eyes (You can't see them in the pic, I'll post one Tuesday when she gets her hair cut, lol).

Abbi's 3 years old, she had spent her life in a kitchen, so far. But she's having the bestest fun now, she has the run of the house and a big fenced in yard and 2 dog-sisters to play with, along with us!! Scotty & I feel good to know that we've enriched her life. I wish you could see her...she was just in awe at seeing so many different things!! I think she's as happy to be here, as we are to have her.

We know that Abbi can never replace Emma, but it's nice to have this little ball of
joy bounding around the house!!

Have a great rest of the week.

Well, well, well...

Guess what! I've been tagged! You're probably wondering who did such a thing to me, aren't you? You're not??? haha My dear friend and the cleverly creative Shirley, at Card Art, Etc. Shirley makes the most beautifully detailed cards, they are just gorgeous!! She uses all kinds of different techniques and she generously sends her cards out for RAKS, bringing smiles to other paper crafters faces!

Now I guess I'm supposed to tell six (yup, 6) things about myself. hmmmmm....

1) I'm so glad that I picked up that first rubber stamp, I truly love it!

2) I love talking on the phone. (well, I do!!!) lol

3) I enjoy my flower gardens and I'm an amateur bird watcher.

4) I wasn't sure I'd like blogging, but I do!

5) I love being married to my hubby.

6) I LOVVVVVE CHOCOLATE!!!!

OK, the next thing is, I have to name 6 people to tag.

1) Darlene at Darlenes Pages - She's got some very pretty cards, and lots of cute ones, too!

2) Jociel at Inknroll - has a fairly new blog. She joins in some SCS sketch challenges and has some nice (& clever) cards on her blog.

3) Nancy at Inkblocks - has beautiful cards on her blog. She is a nature lover and her cards convey that. Very gorgeous work!

4) Barb at Stampelicious - does gorgeous stamping along with lots of neat techniques. You will love her projects.

5) Suzy at Paper Monkey - has just added some really cute cards to her blog. Check it out, you'll be glad you did.

6) Erin at Create Life - has some really fresh and cute idea's. I think you'll enjoy her blog.

Phew, I actually did it. Took me 2 hours to come up with some blogs I thought you would enjoy. I hope you do enjoy them and learn some things to share, too.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for frequenting all our blogs and sharing idea's.

I'm back, thank you & Under the Stars

Hi Everyone,
First of all, I want to thank all of you who posted on the post about Emmy, and to all of you who sent heartfelt emails to me. I appreciate it so very much, and each one of you have touched my heart & given help to me in your own special way. Hugs to all of you!

Well, here it is October already! September was a hard month for a bit, then my Mom came from the States and stayed for 3 weeks with us. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling very well for the first week and she caught a really bad cold the second week, but we did a few things out and about, and lots of time to visit and relax. It was so wonderful to see her and have her here with us!! She left to go home on Oct 1st, and that was hard, but I'm trying to keep myself busy. Scotty & I have been seriously thinking about getting another lil rescue dog. We know it will never replace Emmy, but we do have room in our hearts to help another. Time will tell I guess!!

I want to share a card I made with you. It's one of my most favorite sets! It's so fun! It's Under the Stars by Stampin Up!! Love it, Love it!! I hope you enjoy it!

and on the face of the clock
