Of the Earth Black Magic Card
Hi Stampers! Today I fiddled around with the "Black Magic Technique". Black magic is simply stamping your image in white craft ink on black cardstock. Then coloring your image with shimmery water color pencils (Stampin Up Watercolor Pencils worked perfectly). I understand that it requires you to use a white gel pen for accent on your image. I didn't do that...LOL I decided to add my white as faux stitching instead. That probably doesn't count!!!! hehe But that's what I wanted to do, so I guess I morphed the technique a bit.
Give it a try & add your own little twist to it, too. I think that's half the fun of stamping. I can tweek any technique or procedure to suit my own tastes. 100 people can stamp the same image and they will all look different...such fun!!
Have you been enjoying the Olympics? I am really enjoying them this year and I can root for both the USA and Canada and not show any favortism!! hehe Keeps me busy rooting for the two teams. LOL It has been fun, I must admit. I have such respect for the Athletes!!! I get tired just watching them!!
I hope you'll take a minute and leave me a comment. I love to hear what you have to say. Take care everyone and happy stampin!!!
hugs,

Ohhhh! It turned out to be beautiful, Ret. Love that sweet image, and your faux stitching is super. I also love the new picture of you and Abbey together.
That is really pretty, Ret! Tell me more about that technique some time. Hugs!
Love the technique. Will try it and see if it turns out as nice as yours.
The Olympians are tiring me as well, but am rooting for the whoever is the best (Canada of course). Sorry, you didn't hear me say that.
A beautiful card, Ret. One of my favorite sets, and the black magic technique is gorgeous with it! You've motivated me to CASE your idea!
Excellent Ret! It's to see you posting again.

Hi Ret,
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and taking the time to 'get to know me' a bit! There are times living in Vermont feels like you are separated from the 'real world'. When Fall arrives there is no place as beautiful!
I love your blog! You are very talented! I adore your tri-shutter card and would love to give it a try! Perhaps when I have a couple of weeks off between semesters I will give it a go. Right now finals are just around the corner so I'll have to be patient.
Thanks for sharing!
Samantha
So pretty! That's the best I've seen!
